Continuing from last time. This is Kanako. My older sister (Natsumi) came back to our hometown for the first time in a while with her daughter, Yuna (1 year old). When I asked my sister, who looked depressed, she told me that while she was preparing for our grandfather’s funeral, she was insulted by our relative Miki, who called her a “nuisance,” and was forcefully brought into an empty room. Additionally, when she tried to use the kitchen to warm up Yuna’s baby food, she was refused access in a hostile manner.
My mother, who was listening nearby, calmed me down and approached my sister with concern.
“Did you tell Yusuke (my sister’s husband) about this incident?” “….Yeah, I think I probably mentioned it to him.”
My sister went on to tell me about that day once more.
Yusuke said, “There’s no point in talking about it, let’s just go somewhere else,” and they were led to another room, but Miki’s voice could still be heard. Eventually, they took refuge in the car.
My brother-in-law stood up for my sister, which gave me a little reassurance. But I still couldn’t forgive Miki’s actions…
“When she was young, she looked just like Natsumi, but now I see it!” “That’s right!” My sister and I were surprised.
The words I said to my sister were probably advice from my mother’s experience. My mother is right. My sister is always quiet, so I think she’s an easy target for bad people. Still, I never expected to see such a scene…
While my mother’s words are correct, I think it’s not something that can happen overnight, right? Even if you tell someone to grow up from tomorrow, I think it’s impossible. People’s personalities probably never change.
That’s why we can’t just leave it alone, and I can’t be patient until my sister’s personality changes. I want to put salt on Miki.
