Aoi, a high school student, is unsure about her future plans. She is lucky to have good friends who have various goals like getting a job, attending vocational school, or aiming for a prestigious university. Aoi initially didn’t want to go to college but felt pressured by her parents and teachers. Seeking advice from a professor, she starts considering higher education seriously. Though reluctant at first, Aoi realizes her parents’ support and guidance were valuable, and she begins to work towards her future with their encouragement. Through careful consideration and support, Aoi is determined to make the best choice for her future.
Continuing from last time. I (Aoi) have become a third-year high school student. I was lucky to have good friends and had a fun high school life. I have friends who are aiming to work, go to vocational school, or strive for designated school recommendations by taking regular exams. I have no idea what the future holds. So, I thought I would just go to the university I like and then think about my future. However, my father and mother told me to strive and go to university.
To be honest, I didn’t have the intention to go to university and study. I still don’t have a clear idea of what getting a job will be like. But I’m worried that if I write that in my part-time job, my parents or teachers will get angry. So, I decided to list the universities that I might get into based on the standard deviation of the mock exams I took.
“Not all students have a clear idea of the profession or faculty they want to pursue.” When I sought professional advice, the professor surprisingly accepted my feelings. Thanks to his willingness to listen and advise, I began seriously considering advancing to university.
At first, I couldn’t accept what my parents were saying. But now I think that it was good that they set the conditions for me. I couldn’t think about my future as if it were my own, but only when my parents gave me a hard time did I start to think seriously. The teacher also kindly listened and advised me on how to decide my future path. As a result, I can see what I should be doing now and I am slowly moving forward. I don’t know how it will turn out, but it’s definitely better than going to university without thinking. What I am doing now will definitely be useful in my future life. With my parents’ support, I want to do my best with what I can do.
