Continuation from last time. My name is Yumi, I am 30 years old. I live with my 3-year-old daughter and husband, Satoshi, who is around 30 years old. About 3 months ago, my cousin’s wife, Keiji (30 years old) and Chie (30 years old), passed away leaving behind a 3-year-old and 1-year-old child. Chie and I are colleagues at work and best friends. When Chie passed away, I was sad, but I was surprised to find out that Kenji remarried Chie’s friend, Kaori. Remembering conversations with Chie, I start to suspect that Kenji and Kaori were having an affair.
My husband mentioned the possibility of pregnancy as the reason for rushing into the remarriage.
Kenji’s mother reportedly told her conversation with his mother to her sister. According to the conversation, there is a dispute between Chie and Kenji’s parents over a tombstone and remains.
Considering it is an “affair,” Chie’s parents must also be suspecting infidelity.
It seems that neither the sister nor the younger sister are genuinely happy for each other and do not want to deal with the trouble. When I expressed my anger, my sister told me, “It seems like quite a few people in the family are not happy with your remarriage like Yumi-san. Some people have clearly stated that they will not attend the wedding.”
When I heard Kenji’s story, I didn’t feel angry, but rather concerned. Is love blind? Do you truly love your new partner? Or does your new partner have some weaknesses that control you? Kenji’s actions were completely incomprehensible to me, and I can’t empathize even after hearing about it in the LINE group. I just want Chie’s parents to have the tombstone and remains back.
